With Saveliin this week, I did a lot of work with bugle beads. I actually love working with bugle beads. I firstly did a sample forming the bugle beads in circular shapes, and played with the sizes. I think this sample looks great as it’s so 3D. The second sample I did was with bugle beads and seed beads. I’ve sewed them so they would be in a wavey kinda shape. The beads Saveliin has given me are mostly blues and greens (as these are the colours she’s using in her collection), but soon when I buy some beads I’d like to use what I’ve learnt to do these in my preferred colours (warm colours) and experiment with patterns. I’ve been thinking that I could maybe even do some beaded patterns, photograph them, and then incorporate it into an illustration. (Navigate slider below)
This week with my rugging, I got an order for pastel purple and green custom coasters. Custom orders are fab because that colour combination I wouldn’t have thought of doing, but they work super well together. I completed a custom mirror rug which was pink, orange and yellow. I also did a custom mirror rug, which was a red, pink and green leopard print, which I think resembled strawberries. This week I want to take some more product photos, but in my bedroom, using a rug on my bed side cabinet.

On Friday it was Lauren and Shelby’s last day at Bottle Blonde, so I thought I’d pop in to see everyone. We all shared a dominos and had some gin as well! It was so lovely seeing them all again, and I plan to see them next week for Izzy’s birthday. :)
