I started the week off by taking some more product pictures of my rugs. I set them up next to my bed, and added some props such as the books and flowers. I then posted them on Etsy and Instagram, so people can imagine the rugs a bit better in their homes. It also gives the rugs some practical uses, rather than just being decoration. This is how I use my rugs at home, and I think it gives them more of a selling point as well.

This week I was so lucky with my orders! I got two more, which was a mirror rug, a rug and a set of coasters. I decided not to start them until I got home to Coventry, so I could have some time off, but I'll still get them done way before the estimated shipping date.

I decided to update my portfolio cover, as I realised my current one wasn't the best it could be. My new portfolio cover is shown below. I'm so pleased with it! I combined a print I've done previously with some line work. Below I've also added my previous two portfolio covers for reference, from most recent to oldest.

On my Honeycow Instagram account, I got a message from someone who wanted a portrait of themselves for their Youtube channel; obviously I was happy to accept. Below is that illustration, but it's still unfinished for now. It's really nice being asked to do commissions, as I don't get them that often, and it's a nice change from doing the rugs.

As the title says, this week I went home to Wales! It was so nice to finally be able to travel home and see my family- some of which I haven't seen since August! It was also nice to take some time off work and being creative, especially since I'm soon moving to London to start interning for Amanda Kelly! Now that I'm back in Coventry, I have a fresh head on ready to tackle some rug orders and embroidery!
