This week at Bottle Blonde, I’ve mostly been helping out with sorting the orders. This involves gathering together/making the order, wrapping it all up, and then putting it into a delivery package. I have made several rainbow silver tone earrings, to stock up as these sell really well. Also, one of my graphics got used as a banner for an email. (Navigate slider below)
These week I’ve made a new abstract rug, which is my favourite so far. I took these out to take photos of them. The natural lighting outside is so much better for the photos, rather than the light indoors. I used some skills that I learnt in university for the photoshoot, especially from my photography advantage course. I’ve even made an Etsy account, in hopes of selling a few. I’ve made some coasters too, which I’m going to take some nice photos of next week.

For the first time in a while, I decided to do some digital work. I made a beach themed print that I’m really happy with, and it’s also repeatable. I made a cow print one too. I did some line drawings as well, which I’m really happy with. Lastly, I did a bumble bee embroidery. I haven’t done any embroidery that complex, so there’s still plenty of room for improvement.
P.s I’ve confirmed a print placement with Amanda Kelly in London for a month beginning in May. I’m super excited, and I’ve spoken to people who have also interned with them, who highly enjoyed it. This’ll be a fab experience for me, as print is something I’d like to do third year of university, and even as a career afterwards, so it’ll be great to get a chance to see how the print industry works. This’ll also be great for me, as it’ll grow my independence, when I move to London on my own.
