This week at Bottle Blonde, we were super busy with doing scrap packs. Bottle Blonde are doing a collaboration with Coventry University, and are doing a competition with secondary schools in Coventry using the scrap packs. We had to make 500 of them! We had a bit of a production line for this. One person was putting paper into poly pockets, which had templates of people on, one person was cutting scrap material into chunks, and another person was filling the poly pockets with the chunks of materials and trimmings. We soon made the 500 scrap packs. Below shows a time lapse of me cutting up material.

This week I've made some rug coasters! I've added all of these onto my Etsy shop. I also went out when the weather was nice and took some photos of them to advertise them to be sold. I've had a couple of sales already, but these are all from my friends. I have more coasters drawn onto fabric ready to be done. I've also designed a rugged mirror, which I'm super excited for, and going to start this week. (I've added a photo of me into the design to emphasis its a mirror!)

I've done this illustration of flowers below, which are some I had for my birthday.
As I've only got a couple weeks left in Bottle Blonde, I'm looking forward to the next few months. I'm hoping to do some embroidery with Savellin, as this will teach me some skills I can use for my collection in third year. I've learnt so many skills this year alone which will prepare me for third year. For example I've greatly improved my graphic skills, and I now know what it takes to run social media accounts for a business. In my own time I've got so much better at doing repeat prints, and I've learnt how to do rugging; both of which I'm hoping to incorporate in my collection. I'm also hoping that in April the screen printing place in Fargo Village should open, so I can finish the internship I started last year. Before you know it I'll be moving to London for Amanda Kelly!
