Tinsel and Rugs

This week at Bottle Blonde I mainly taped tinsel ready for a jacket that's been ordered. This tinsel is trickier to tape as it's so long, so you have to measure it and tape in the middle and then cut that section off, so you're left with two pieces of tape, which is good as it prevents any waste. I also made some super long earrings out of this tinsel.

This week I got my first Etsy order! I was super excited. They ordered some abstract coasters that I'd already made, so they got sent off really quickly. I experimented with making a mirror rug. I'm so pleased with how it turned out, and using photography skills learnt in university, I got some fab product shots for my Etsy. As this is the first one I've done, I'm keeping this one, and because it got a bit scratched in the process. My friend ordered pink and purple zebra print coasters for Mother's day, which have also been added to my Etsy. As a lot of my time is taken up with Bottle Blonde or punch needle rugging, I haven't had too much time to be creative, but I managed to do an illustration of the makeup artist Jamie Genevieve, shown below.
